The option to connect to the nbn network if you're confident with installing your own devices and if your home set-up is fairly simple. You're eligible for a self-install if you match the following description:

1. You do not have a security or medical alarm.

2. Self-install will only work if your nbn connection box is within 1.8 metres of where you want your phone and broadband/Wi-Fi to be located. So when nbn co arrive to install your nbn connection box, please ensure they install it exactly where you want to use your phone and broadband (see our Getting it Right guide for more information). Otherwise, you'll need one of our technicians to run extra cables for you.

3. You don't have multiple phone outlets/wall sockets in your house that you want activated on the nbn network (patch panels are an exception).

4. You do not currently have a fax, EFTPOS, multi-number service or equipment issued under Telstra's Disability Equipment Program.

5. You're not a Priority Assist customer (please select the Priority Assist option if this applies to you).

6. This option may not be available in your location. We will contact you to confirm availability.

If you order self-install, but are not eligible, you may need a technician to help you connect and charges will apply.
